What is your return policy?

Items may be returned within 30 days of purchase, as long as they are un-used and are in saleable condition. Electronic and electric items are not returnable except for warranty repair. All normal selling items have a warranty backed by the manufacturer. Tools which have a warrantied failure are only available to be exchanged for another new tool.

Can I special order items?

Yes! We do special orders as a regular part of our business, nearly every day. Incoming and outgoing shipping charges will be incurred if not drop shippable from the manufacturer. Items drop shipped from the manufacturer will only incur one shipping charge.

Can special order items be returned?

Return of special order items is totally dependent on the manufacturer's return policy. All return fees charged by the manufacturer plus return shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer, as are the original shipping charges. Some manufacturers, however, do not allow for any returns.

Do you rent tools?

No, we do not rent tools.

Do you sell individual taps, dies, and drill bits?

Yes, we sell individual taps and dies in metric, machine screw, and SAE (fractional) sizes. We have individual drill bits in metric, wire gauge, letter, and SAE (fractional) sizes and in a wide range of lengths and types of materials.

Where can I get tools which I purchased repaired?

We have a full service in house repair facility. We repair a wide variety of items from electric tools to 50 ton hydraulic presses. We also repair a wide variety of air tools and compressors. Please call first to verify that we can service the item you wish to send us. It is our goal to privide 100% service on all tools that we sell. We are the service point for all manufacture warranties of tools sold by us.

Do you offer volume discounts?

Although we discount all of our lines, we do allow for extra discounts if your dollar purchase exceeds $10,000.


In general, all items sold by Dayton Tool Crib are warrantied by the respective manufacturer. All warranties provide for replacement or repair when caused by manufacturing defect. Some warranties are of fixed duration while others such as USA made sockets and wrenches have a limited lifetime duration. Under no circumstances is there any warranty for tool abuse or lack of function understanding by the customer. All tools have a specific range of use and lack of this knowledge by the customer which causes a tool to fail is not supported by any warranty.

As with all sales there can be exceptions to standard policy and we will strive to accommodate any extenuating circumstances within the confines of the above stated policies.
